Hugh V. Rineer received
his undergraduate education at East Stroudsburg University
in Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Political Science in 1971. He received his
law degree in 1975 from the University of Tulsa, having
been awarded the Order of the Curule Chair. He was
a member of the University of Tulsa Law Journal and
Phi Delta Phi.
Prior to joining the Firm in 1998, Mr. Rineer served
as co-managing attorney for Legal Services of Eastern
Oklahoma. He was a Special District Judge for the 14th
Judicial District, Tulsa, Oklahoma, presiding over
divorce trials and preliminary hearings from 1984 through
1988. He is currently an Adjunct Settlement Judge for
the Northern District of Oklahoma and a member of the
Adjunct Faculty at the University of Tulsa, College
of Law, teaching mediation. Mr. Rineer is currently
a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association Board
of Directors, serving as Chairman of the Fee Arbitration
Committee and is a founding member of the Collaborative
Lawyers of Oklahoma.
Mr. Rineer's practice is concentrated in the areas
of domestic relations, family law, collaborative family
law and family mediation. He is a member of the Oklahoma
Bar Association, Tulsa County Bar Association, Oklahoma
Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators, the Association
for Conflict Resolution, and the International Academy
of Collaborative Professionals. He has served as Budget
Officer for both the Family Law Section and the Alternative
Dispute Resolution Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
Mr. Rineer is engaged in several community organizations.
He is a past President of the Central Tulsa Soccer
Club and the Tulsa/San Luis Potosi, Mexico Sister City
Association.
